Golden Isles Elementary School
Golden Isles Elementary School is an organization of stakeholders who work together to provide a learning environment which teaches, guides and challenges students to achieve, excel and succeed in all areas of life.
Golden Isles Elementary School (GIES) is one of ten elementary schools in the Glynn County School District. Established in 1989, GIES is celebrating 29 years of educational success. GIES currently serves students in grades K-5. It is the vision of GIES to ensure that our school family is the leader in providing a quality environment where all children and adults value themselves and others. Stakeholders develop a love for learning and strive for continuous improvements in our students, staff and community.
Golden Isles Elementary School currently has 731 students enrolled in grades K-5. During the past three years, the total student population has remained consistent. The overall percentage of minority students averages 47%. White students average 53%. Minority populations at Golden Isles Elementary consist of African American, Hispanic, Asian and Multi-Racial students. Currently, the white population makes up 52% of the school’s enrollment in grades K-5 with African American’s making up 37%, Hispanic 7% and Asian and Multi-Racial 2% respectively.
