Family: I am so fortunate to have such a loving family that has supported me throughout my entire life. I have been married to my husband, Ryan, for almost 2 years. Together, we have Sadie and Indigo who are the cutest and sweetest puppy dogs!
Who is your role model? My mom has been my biggest role model since I was a little girl. She leads with grace, patience, and kindness, which is something that I strive to emulate. She is always willing to help anyone in need, expecting nothing in return. She is such a light to everyone she meets, and I aspire to be more like her every day.
What book has most influenced you? "Everybody, Always" by Bob Goff. It truly embodies what it means to live a life of love, kindness, and acceptance.
What is your greatest teaching memory? I thought that teaching kindergarten virtually was going to be an impossible feat, but it ended up being the most memorable and rewarding year of my teaching career. So many people believed that kindergarteners would not be able to learn virtually, but my students and their families worked incredibly hard to ensure that it would be a success. Watching my students grow and flourish through a computer screen, while also fostering a close, positive classroom community was something I will truly never forget.
What is your favorite quote or personal motto? “Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.” Roy T. Bennett
What is a fact about you that most people don't know? I can sing the alphabet backward!
Any hidden talents or hobbies? I enjoy all things crafty and creative. Whether it is painting, drawing, crafts, or digital media, I love it all!
