Music Lesson Plans: (Unit 3-Music is Expressive)
This month GIE students will be learning about music room rules/expectations and getting to know the music room. We are listening to and demonstrating the Quaver 5, and learning about all of the fun things that we will be doing this year in music class!
First Music Concepts for the Year:
(K-2) Younger Kiddos will learn about the steady beat and how important it is in music. They will clap, march and move in many other ways to the beat. They will also explore music with no beat and begin to distinguish the difference!
(3-5) These Kiddos will learn how the beat can be organized into Meter! We will explore meters of 2, 3, and 4 and even beginning playing rhythms on the bucket drums that fit into these meters!
4th/5th Grade students are invited to sign up for the GIE Chorus which will start on Wednesday, 8/28 after school! Chorus is from 2:30-3:30 every Wednesday!
